Executive Director: Marc McMurphy
Since 1982, White Birch Community Center has been enriching the lives of area residents by providing social, recreational and educational programs for families, children, and adults in a stimulating, supportive, and safe environment.
The Center began as a cooperative preschool called Crayon College in 1974. Over the years, White Birch Community Center has grown to serve children, youth, families, and older adults with a wide variety of programs. They now provide high-quality childcare and early-learning opportunities, an array of on-sight and community-based services for older adults, and educational and support services for families in the Contoocook River Valley.
A cornerstone in the local community, White Birch was selected by the New Hampshire Department of Health and Human Services as only one of ten NH childcare centers with an "Exemplary Program for Strengthening Families."Listen to White Birch Community Center's full interview on Monday, September 29th, on Girard at Large.
